Meet Juliana
Juliana Castillo is a New York and Florida-based multi-hyphenate artist and proud daughter of Peruvian immigrants. Born and raised in sunny Hollywood, Florida, she brings the heart of her culture and hometown into everything she does. Now a recent graduate, Juliana is happy to continue calling NYC her home-away-from-home and is passionate about creating art that uplifts stories of authenticity and cultural representation.
She earned her BFA in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts at the New Studio on Broadway. With a voice that can float through classical arias, and dive into contemporary music, Juliana is all about versatility. She loves to add a good growl OR opt-up whenever the moment calls for it!
Recent credits include Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Sue in Carrie, Hélène in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Malcolm in Macbeth, and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi. On screen, she has appeared in multiple short films such as A Bottle’s Echo and I Thought Everyone Loved Chaos!
Outside of theatre, Juliana loves journaling, getting lost in a romance novel or a good poem, and listening to anything and everything Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande on repeat. She enjoys yoga, pilates, traveling, and trying out new Pinterest baking recipes. Above all, one of her favorite things in the world is cooking traditional Peruvian dishes with her mom. Their specialties are ceviche, lomo saltado, and arroz relleno (¡qué rico!)
